COWICHAN SCHOOL OF MOTORING, INC. IS NOW DANATEC CERTIFIED FOR TRANSPORTATION OF DANGEROUS GOODS and WHMIS  

Schedule 2 Drive

 Cowichan School of Motoring is a member of Schedule 2 Drive, so you will be able to quickly and easily schedule your car driving sessions via the Internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! Before you can schedule your first drive, you will need to obtain your learner’s permit, register with our office as well as make your payments. Car training is back in Nanaimo. Indivdual lessons only at this time.  We may be offering the GLP Course at a future date.

Cowichan School of Motoring, Inc. has been Serving Vancouver Island, BC, Canada for over 40 years. Our head office is located in Duncan and our satellite office has been located in Nanaimo for the past 21 years. CSM is an ICBC Licensed Driver Training Facility as well as its Instructors. CSM has been under the same ownership for 28 years.

1. driver training to "New Drivers" even those who are so new that have not been behind the wheel of a car before.
2. Graduated Licensing Program Course (GLP)
3. refresher training to all ages.
4. Defensive driving courses for all Classes of License.
5. refresher training to our Seniors who may be preparing for a retest.
6. Class 1 Training which covers all licenses except motorcycle, as well as refresher training for those who have not been behind the wheel of a commercial vehicle for sometime.
7. Class 2 Training for school, tour, transit buses, this Class covers Class 4 as well.
8. Class 3 Training for Dump trucks. Keep in mind that should you wish to haul a trailer weighing more that 4600 kilos (10,000) lbs you must obtain a Class  1.
9. Class 4 Training for taxi and mini buses up to 10 passenger. 
10. training on your RV whether it is a 5th Wheel or a Motorhome, perhaps you need an Air Brake Endorsement for you Motorhome. Keep in mind that should you 5th Wheel weigh more than 4600 kilos (10,000 lbs) you are required to obtain a code 51 on your license.
11. Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Danatec certified.
12. Government Certified Air Brake Courses
13. Corporate up-grading and re-training for your Employees, we will come to your location.
14. We conduct our training 7 days a week at both Duncan and Nanaimo locations.

ALL TRAINEES MUST HAVE OR OBTAIN THE PROPER LICENSE OR LEARNERS LICENSE TO REGISTER WITH CSM.
