WHY CHOOSE COWICHAN SCHOOL OF MOTORING, INC. When choosing a Driver Training School whether you wish to learn to drive a car or you are looking to upgrade to a commercial license, be sure to check: 1. How long has the school been in business? Cowichan School of Motoring (CSM) has been incorporated since 1977, but we have been serving the Cowichan Valley for over 40 years in Nanaimo for 21, CSM has been under the same ownership, since 1981. 2. Does the School have an office and classroom or does it operate out of their private residence? CSM has an office and classroom at each of the locations with licensed instructors for all classes. Someone will answer the phone Mon-Fri 9am-4pm. 3. Is the school and instructors licensed? All Driving Schools and Instructors in BC must be Licensed and Bonded under the provisions of the Motor Vehicle Act and Regulations of BC and Licensed and Certified by the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC). All licensed must be visually displayed. 4. Can you see policies? CSM will provide you with course content, fees, conducting of courses both with Brochures and website www.csm1977.com. 5. Does the school use various methods of instruction? CSM conducts training in classroom and one-on-one behind the wheel. Individual tutoring is available if help is required to study for Learners License. 6. How experienced are the Instructors? CSM Instructors have an average of 35 years experience.
